Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for taking periodic inventories of materials and supplies;
• Assists in responding to complaints regarding problems as assigned and reports findings to superiors orally and/or in writing;
• Signs, maintain and documents records appropriately attesting to the inspection, receipt, issuance and remaining balances of stocks;
• Ensures that all shipments are received in good, undamaged conditions; Reports for claims if required
• Assists with loading and unloading of trucks/containers, using forklift and electric pallet truck if required
• Assists in opening containers, unpacking and examining incoming shipments if required
• Labelling of barcode required for all inbound shipments and ensure quantities, item and description correctness
• Perform putaway duties of all items
• Compares identifying information and counts items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing slips, orders or any others records and initial completed paperwork
• Updating inventory with received items
• Communicating with shipping department, forwarders/vendors for shipment arrangements/delays or problems
• Assist with other duties as assigned

• Preferably possess a certification in Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Words etc)
• Good team player and performs well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Independent, innovative and motivated.
• Able to multitask, prioritize & time management.
• Well verse in computer
• Mandarin speaking preferred to liaise with Chinese speaking suppliers/counterparts
