Our Water Business Group is looking for experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to support and assist the design manager in leading the technical delivery and design management of water/wastewater infrastructure, working complex projects covering site investigations, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering design. Role duties includes but is not limited to the following:

• Conduct field investigations at project sites
• Assist in the design water/wastewater conveyance including pump and lift stations and/or treatment facility projects
• Assist in building and maintaining client relationships through timely and quality delivery
• Complete projects to a technical standard acceptable within the industry
• Deliver projects on time
• Work with other staff to get the job done and gain mutual satisfaction
• Assist other GHD offices on wastewater projects, as needed.

We are looking for the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

• BS in Civil or Sanitary Engineering
• MS in Civil, Sanitary or Environmental Engineering (plus factor only)
• Experience in design, preparing reports and documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil, sanitary or chemical engineering related to wastewater systems or treatment preferably in a consulting setting.
• Specialist technical ability in the investigation and design of wastewater systems and treatment. Knowledge of SewerCAD / SewerGEMS / WaterGems, Civil 3D, CAD applications is desirable.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater systems design
• Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, exhibiting strong open communication
• High analytical skills•High level of computer literacy and proficiency
• Good people relationships and networking skills
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to understand client needs
• Strong judgment and decisiveness skills with a bias for action
• Team player and has the ability to manage several tasks at once and determine priorities with good time management skills
