Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Must possess valid CSWIP or AWS CWI Certification
Well versed in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Outlook
Min. 3 years of relevant experience in Marine & Offshore Sector
Well versed with FPSO / LNG / FLNG Vessels
Subject to Client’s (Keppel Shipyard Ltd) interview and acceptance
Able to work at Client’s / sub-contractors’ premises
Able to work as per Client’s instructions and satisfaction

Responsibilities:
Material Inward Inspection:
Inward inspection of Raw materials (Plate, sheet, Pipe, flange & forgings, etc) with reference to Material Test certificates as per ASME Sec II Part A & Part B
Inward inspection of consumables (Electrodes and Shielding Gas) with reference to Batch certificates as per ASME Sec II Part C
Check Static / Rotating equipment arrive at site shall have each equipment tag number and name plate
Visual inspection for any damage cause during transportation
Piping:
Fully conversant with isometrics, P&ID’s and general arrangement drawings, as built preparation & modification as per site requirements
Fit-up & visual inspection (Dimensional Check, Alignment, Weld Visual) of pipe spools (Carbon steel, Duplex SS, Super Duplex SS, Cu-Ni, GRE) and Pipe support as per piping Isometric drawing (Weld Map) at fabrication and installation
Involved in Line check, Hydro test, air blowing, flushing, chemical cleaning, reinstatement, bolt tightening, N2 leak test, Gross air leak test, N2 Blanketing and punch clearance
Preparation and review of Test Packs with material and weld traceability
Structural:
Carried out Material Inspection, Fit up, Visual Inspection
Daily surveillance and walk about with contractor and monitor the fabrication
Activities to comply with require quality
Conducting Technical Tools box meeting with contactors
Prepare the Weld Sequence prior to important structure weld
Prepare the Punch list prior to Blasting and Painting
Inspect and review of all QAQC relevant documents
Witnessed all Load Tests and Documented
Area clearance walk about and generate the Punch List
Ensure Mechanical Devices (Like Trolley beam, Maintenance Pad eyes & Monorail) functional issues and ensure the correct tag installation
Ensure the Safety devices were installed in correct location
Ensure the Walk Way Path having right color and band width
Welding Engineering & Inspection:
Preparing and maintaining Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welder Performance Qualification Record (WPQ) and assign unique ID to the welder as per Codes and Customer Specification
Maintaining Welder Continuity Record
Witness Welder qualification test (WQT) & procedure qualification test (PQR)
Witness Mechanical test (Tensile test, Bend test, Impact test, Hardness test, Ferrite test, G48 Corrosion test, Macro & Micro structure etc,.) conducted for PQR & WQT, Ferrite Test, Positive material identification test conducted on fabricated parts. Final weld visual inspection of all fabricated product
Pre-judgments of PWHT Joints, Witness PWHT and review PWHT charts
Monitoring Welding parameters during WQT, PQR and Production weld
Preparing List of Welders and Welding operators every month, Welder Evaluation Sheet, Welding Surveillance report daily and monitoring the Performance of the welder daily
Preparing Weld Metal Consumption Calculations for special welding consumables. Raising Purchase indent with Technical Delivery Condition for special welding consumables. Monitoring stores and shop floor for proper usage of filler metals. Preparing and Monitoring of baking, holding temperature and time of filler metals as per manufacturer recommendation
Review of WPS, PQR & WPQR submitted by vendors
Monitoring calibration status of welding machine, inspection testing tools and pressure gauges
NDT:
Witness NDT conducted (PT, MT, UT, PAUT)
Radiography film Interpretation of WQT, PQR coupons and production joints
Analysis RT repair percentage every moth and take necessary action to minimize that
Monitoring NDE equipments calibration and periodic verification log
Insulation:
Inspection of pipe insulation for Heat conservation, electrical tracing, cold insulation and personal protection (Material Handled: Armaflex, cellulorglass, SS)
