To produce and maintain Company SHEQ standards that facilitate understanding, application, and compliance by the business.

To provide relevant people within the company with:
  • Supporting SHEQ systems and reporting to reflect the needs of the business
  • Supporting the management & updating of Safety Case under the MHI regulation and product stewardship to facilitate compliance with relevant legislative requirements and to drive continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices;
  • Understanding of industry guidance and the legislative requirements for safe product supply, and warning of any inherent risks to safety, health, and environment, through all stages of the product lifecycle;
  • Understanding of what is required for best practice site security provisions in accordance with competent authority recommendations;
  • Provide (or facilitate access to) advanced or specialist guidance on SHEQ systems and standards to the business.
SHEQ Systems & Standards
  • Developing and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Updating and maintaining company SHEQ standards to align with current requirements.
  • Providing advice and support during regulatory, certification, accreditation, and customer audits, and addressing any nonconformities or improvement actions identified.
  • Managing/supporting SHEQ software platforms used in the organization
HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)
  • Assisting in the implementation of SHEQ management systems and improvement programs.
  • Updating and coordinating the Safety Case for operations and following up on safety case conclusions.
  • Participating in incident investigations, especially those requiring systems skills and expertise.
  • Analyzing SHEQ data to identify trends and root causes, facilitating continuous improvement.
  • Identifying training and competence needs, providing training and coaching on SHEQ systems and standards.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and focused audits on key SHEQ management systems.
  • Monitoring performance against global/local standards and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) for annual and corporate responsibility reports
Quality & Product Stewardship
  • Providing functional leadership and influencing business and operations managers to take responsibility for product stewardship.
  • Maintaining up-to-date risk assessments for products and services.
  • Coordinating and communicating product/quality-related complaints and issues.
  • Supporting the approval process for new product implementation.
  • Interpreting customer requests for SHEQ information and guiding responses.
Security
  • Developing and implementing security policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of relevant security standards and elements.
  • Providing functional leadership and influencing business and operations managers to take responsibility for security.
  • Supporting security risk assessments and self-audits.
Functional Support
  • Acting as a focal point for audits, both internal and external, and providing general support for customer and colleague queries.
  • Leading the Directives and Safety Alerts process if required.
  • Providing regular SHEQ KPI reporting and SHEQ communication through bulletins, alerts, etc.
The Talent
  • Degree or Diploma in Quality, Engineering or Safety & Health or equivalent field
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in SHEQ roles
  • Turnaround safety management experience will have an added advantage.
  • Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower
  • Certified FSM with SCDF.
  • Extensive computer experience including the ability to administer online training generate progress/analysis report and advance proficiency in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
