As Xbox Category Manager – Southeast Asia & India within the Asia Xbox Category team, you will plan and support execution of our category marketing and sales plans across our portfolio of Gaming products – from Xbox Gaming Devices, Accessories, Gaming Services & Microsoft Game Studios Game title releases. Our business goal is to accelerate reach and engagement across devices and help earn Xbox fans through the intersection of customers, software and hardware partners, channel partners and creators. Our Xbox Gaming portfolio includes products & franchises such as Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series S & X, Minecraft, Forza, Halo, Gears of War, Fable, Age of Empires and more.

Responsibilities

Using consumer insights, market data and sales analysis you will develop seasonal plans that facilitate player & revenue growth along with Partner engagement to drive awareness, consideration, purchase intent, conversion & post-purchase advocacy.
  • Lead the Xbox Business in Southeast Asia & India – Take ownership of the business P&L, reporting during ROB key milestones and making strategic investment choices in the SEA & India markets. Influence across boundaries and exceed expected results with the ability to paint the right picture to CCSM Sub Regional teams. This individual will have autonomy to impact and influence the business in SEA & India and will need to have the required leadership skills to drive impact.
  • Drive marketing and sales plans – Take the WW strategy and adapt to build the local category strategy and sales and marketing plan; Develop integrated marketing plans and strategic market objectives by channel partner, drive marketing execution and measure execution and return on investment (ROI). Identify key segments for compete and growth opportunities. Work with sales teams on partner mapping, segmentation and prioritization. Provide feedback to Asia region on issues, opportunities and help needed.
  • Deliver Category Excellence by defining (Addressable Market, Audience, Product) & implementing (target setting, investments) solutions that provide added value to both Microsoft, consumers, and our partners.
  • Drive Investment Alignment – Define and manage portfolio of investments, channels programs and incentives to maximize short term results (revenue, GM) and LTV. Partner with Integrated marketing and channel marketing to ensure marketing effectiveness and efficiency across the funnel.
  • Collaborative Leadership – Ensure readiness across segment and partner teams. Develop and share clear insights into growth drivers and blockers, competitive situation and a focus on the voice of the customer to feedback upstream
  • Tell the Product Story – Land local product and category stories with partners including pitch decks and readiness meetings so they are leading sell in aligned to Microsoft priorities. Hand off to sales leads.
  • Excel in Business Operations – drive accurate demand planning and inventory management processes; provide inputs to pricing process; land price promos and value-add bundles to drive volume and mix. Implement WW category management and Corp business group offer programs, messaging and sales motions that will be required to build strong category plans with our top partners
  • Insight Driven Mindset: Demonstrate the ability to turn insights into action and leverage the Voice of the customer/partner to drive business and product strategy.
  • Change agent: The creation & Integration of new categories & services, bringing key stakeholders along through skilled influence, developing product channel, new business model & GTM strategies while adjusting programs & investments.
  • Culture of Simplification: Passion and eye for simplified workflow, ideas, initiatives. Ability to focus on the ‘vital few’ to maximize impact. Shows agility to speed learning to impact.

Qualifications

Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • 10+ years’ experiencein a category. marketing, sales environment with experience driving growth across Gaming, consumer products, technology, entertainment, retail and/or services.
  • Services experience preferred in an entertainment, gaming, telco, retail, or technology field.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to set, track and manage annual revenue targets.
  • Portfolio management. Marketed product categories; demonstrated experience of consumer channels. Operating as brand stewards, driving brand consistent execution. Marketing physical, cloud and/or subscription products & services
  • Execution excellence. Operations-savvy, cross-functional project management, budgeting, creative design and direction. Focus on ROI-driven marketing and data-driven insights to develop marketing programs & drive readiness
  • Cross-geo and cross-cultural business management:Experience in working across Global teams and cultures will be an advantage.
  • Managing change. Ability to manage ambiguity and execute in a rapidly changing environment. An agile executor with a discipline around testing, quick iteration and risk-taking
  • Thought leadership:Ability to demonstrate a track record of thought leadership and driving marketing innovation as you lead and grow new business models in the region.
  • Passion & interest in Playing video games, of any type, is a plus.
  • Tertiary education preferred.
