Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and technically skilled
XR Support Specialist
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting and supporting
Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR)
applications and hardware. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and end-users to ensure smooth deployment, operation, and user adoption of XR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first and second-level support for XR-related hardware (headsets, controllers, sensors) and software applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve XR system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent user experience.
Assist with XR hardware setup, configuration, calibration, and updates.
Maintain knowledge base and user guides for XR systems and processes.
Work with development and QA teams to replicate, document, and escalate bugs or technical issues.
Train users on XR equipment and applications; offer demos and best practice sessions.
Assist in testing and validating new XR features or platforms before production rollout.
Manage inventory and lifecycle of XR devices.
Collaborate with vendors and OEMs for warranty, updates, and support services.
Requirements:
Minimum
1 year of experience
in XR/AR/VR/MR environments, preferably in a support, QA, or technical operations role.
Familiarity with XR platforms like
Meta Quest, Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Vive, Magic Leap, or similar
.
Basic understanding of 3D engines like
Unity or Unreal Engine
is a plus.
Comfort with device setup, networking basics, firmware updates, and mobile/desktop configuration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems is a plus (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Freshdesk).
Enthusiasm for immersive technologies and willingness to learn evolving XR tools.
Nice to Have:
Exposure to
XR development or QA
using Unity/Unreal.
Understanding of spatial computing concepts.
Basic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) or command-line familiarity.
Knowledge of content distribution systems (e.g., ArborXR, ManageXR).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
