About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer (System) to join our team in leading the Government Data Centre (GDC) Migration Project. This role requires overseeing the transition of critical IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to a new data centre environment. You will work closely with government stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and secure migration process, aligning with government standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Migration Planning: Develop and manage a detailed migration plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal IT teams, government agencies, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of migration activities.
• Systems Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of current systems to assess migration readiness and identify potential challenges.
• Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Oversee the design and deployment of new infrastructure in the government data centre, ensuring that all systems meet functional and security requirements.
• Data & Application Migration: Manage the migration process of data, applications, and systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime.
• Post-Migration Testing: Implement testing protocols to verify system functionality and ensure operational stability after migration.
• Project Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, change management logs, and lessons learned.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all migration activities adhere to government regulations, compliance requirements, and security standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Proven Experience in ICT Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing medium to large-scale ICT projects, preferably within the government sector.
• Infrastructure Specialization: Strong background in IT Infrastructure project management, with expertise in systems, cloud, network, data centres, and facilities.
• Project Leadership: Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects/programs on time, within scope, and budget.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Experience coordinating with diverse teams, including internal IT, government stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Compliance & Security Focus: Deep understanding of government regulations and security standards, ensuring adherence throughout the migration process.
• Comprehensive Understanding of Migration Processes: Expertise in planning, executing, and overseeing data, application, and infrastructure migrations.

• Experience in IT Infra Project Management (systems, cloud, network, data centres).
• Knowledge of service-level management, contract management, and change request management during application maintenance.
• Familiarity with performance guarantee and warranty period management for project closure.
