About the Team Data Science Accelerator (DSA) Department Our Policy, Statistics and Research (PSR) Group plays a vital role in influencing CPF policies and operations; DSA is a department within PSR Group. Data informs many of the decisions we make in CPFB; and to perform our roles well, CPFB has embarked on a journey to become Data-Smart. In support of that, you will be part of a team that champions data visualisations and builds data science capabilities to help the Board extract value from data for effective business decisions and policy-making.

What you will be working on:

What you will be working on As a Data Engineering and Projects Intern, your responsibilities will include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Data Projects: Assisting in project management, development and testing activities and supporting the business users in exploring and testing the functionalities of CPFB\'s cloud based data analytics platform and other on-premise systems. This includes assisting in the conversion of SAS Reports and Tableau Dashboard to Pyspark and PowerBI, and the training of users on PowerBI. \xe2\x80\xa2 Engineering Operations and Support - Work with Data Engineers for operations and support of our data platforms. This includes assisting in creation of information dashboards for system access reviews and service requests; logistics support in the allocation of software licenses and IT equipment; the redesign and automation (e.g., UIPath) of workflows; and the use of generative AI to improve engineering processes and support. \xe2\x80\xa2 Training and Documentation - Assist in the training of users on system functionalities and the preparation of user guides or system administration guides for system implementation. What you can expect During your internship with CPF Board, you can expect: \xe2\x80\xa2 Learning Opportunities: Gain valuable hands-on experience across the data project life-cycle, from engagement of business users, requirement analysis, development, testing, data migration to system commissioning. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mentorship: Receive guidance and mentorship from data engineers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Exposure: You will be exposed to the inner workings of the public service sector, and understand the role of data and how it supports decision-making in a government agency.

What we are looking for:

What we are looking for We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria: \xe2\x80\xa2 Available Full-time (5 days/week) \xe2\x80\xa2 Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information System or a related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably familiar with Python, SQL, Visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take on new challenges.
