The role requires an ability to provide valuable input into the strategic, creative production development of client accounts through effective and profitable team-work. You need to be able to identify strategic growth and develop the accounts to maximise revenues. This will include cross selling all of Jellyfish's services and looking to develop relationships at all levels within the accounts. The role is focussed on supporting on new business pitches and assisting in the management and development of a number of existing accounts. This role description is therefore a guide to the requirements of the role and is not intended to restrict activities that will contribute to the overall growth and / or profitability of the business. Some of your responsibilities will be : Client management Demonstrate a solid strategic and executional understanding of the client's business and market Understand the external influences on the client's business and how the agency can add value to the Clients business Be a key player in strategic discussions both on a day to day basis and whilst looking at the longer term Proactively think ahead to seek solutions and opportunities through Account Development Plans and 90 Days Plans Develop and manage close working relationships with the client to ensure expectations and deliverables are achieved Ensure the effective interrogation of the brief takes place where all parties understand its implications, whilst providing internal counsel and optimal strategies for debating any controversial/challenging aspects of the brief Above all seek to build on Jellyfish's Reputation as a business that is a trusted partner who can deliver leading edge technology solutions coupled with the highest quality creative and production services across all media channels quickly and cost effectively Leadership Establish yourself as the key Jellyfish leader Develop close relationships with all key stakeholders at various levels with the clients to try and ensure that Jellyfish are selected to provide all the services that we can offer and that they purchase Strive to maintain and constantly improve creative standards within the business, whilst nurturing the team to carry this through at all levels Work in partnerships with Project Managers to ensure that all projects are on time and on budget Commercial Responsible for forecasting, budget/expense planning and management, project tracking, measurement etc. monitor and manage performance to ensure objectives are met and report/ correct any deviation from plan To ensure that the accounts you work on, achieve their budgeted growth each year Proactively generate and continually strive for organic growth of the client business and effectively cross sell capabilities Work with senior members within Jellyfish to maximise all relevant opportunities and where appropriate play an integral role on new business pitches To negotiate favorable fees and define Scope of Work with Clients that allow the Agency to service the business properly and with targeted return To have the respect of and work productively with the Agency's financial team People Management To take responsibility for managing, nurturing and developing the team and to give constructive and regular feedback to the Group Account Director To motivate the account team especially during challenging times - to be an example of what a can do' attitude can achieve Inspire positivity in others Manage upwards to inform and involve the Group Account Director / Client Services Director appropriately and timely of any issues Resolve conflict successfully Ensure your team have two Performance Conversations a year Be a key motivator for all team members - inspire them in all things that you undertake. Display leadership and provide effective counsel to the team always. Understand and work with the strengths and weaknesses of the team to maximise performance. What you'll bring to the role (skills, experience and personal qualities) Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred. Considerable experience of working in in advertising for or other fast-moving brand and marketing orientated environments. Adept at building relationships at all levels Strong written and spoken communication skills to ensure clear understanding of the agency's proposition and to convey complex information effectively and without confusion A very strong understanding and appreciation for communications - in terms of media channels and the digital nature of modern media is important. Articulate, incisive and with clarity of thought that builds constructive and lasting colleague and client relationships. Technical - as appropriate to maximise benefit from all technology systems in place, and an ongoing understanding of new systems in development Strategic - able to plan and anticipate agency and client needs to keep Jellyfish at the forefront of developments and maximise opportunities arising. Ability to present complex information effectively to all levels, adapting approach accordingly to formal and informal situations Ability to present creative effectively and professionally, engaging and persuading clients and agency colleagues alike Be a trusted partner who inspires confidence in successful deliver of the project Outstanding people skills - knows how to motivate and get the best out of others Personable, approachable and flexible in style. Able to accommodate different styles and attitudes from clients and team. High level of organisation with brilliant multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines so we deliver on time Cool and calm when working under pressure along with the ability to anticipate - and solve problems Good team player - collaborative but also a good self-starter, able to work independently Exceptional attention to detail Flexible approach to working hours Strong sense of responsibility and ownership and a commitment to delivering best practice and value Resilient, energetic, dynamic and innovative Compelling can do' attitude
