Job Description

Novelship is seeking an Accountant to be based in Singapore to join our Finance Team.

In our next stage of hypergrowth, we are looking for an Accountant who will work closely with our Financial Controller to implement Finance processes for accounting and reporting in a fast-growing and dynamic start-up environment. You need to have strong knowledge in Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and must be highly motivated in order to work well in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. You should have a deep desire to excel and develop a career in a fast growing tech company.

Responsibilities:

Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management

Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements

Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)

Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities

Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines

Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, IRAS and government authorities where required

Support and ensure compliance with tax filing requirement (GST, corporate tax and withholding tax) and audit

Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy / ACCA

Min 3 years audit experience

Good working knowledge of FRS

Motivated and able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently

Knowledge in Netsuite is a plus
