JOB DESCRIPTION For this opening we will consider candidates from the following locations: Makati,Metro Manilla,Philippines |


MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounting Functions - Assist in performing various accounting and/or tax functions (i.e., cash,
property, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental policies and
procedures and updating supervisor on issues, timetables, and status of each function

  • May reconcile hourly bank statements, ensuring cleared checks match the general ledger
entries, and researching and escalating discrepancies
  • Accurately and appropriately code property invoices, entering required asset acquisition and
disposal information (i.e., cost, vendor, department, location, general ledger account number,
date of disposal, partial or full disposal, proceeds on the disposal, etc.) into the fixed asset system
and reconciling discrepancies
  • Make copies of property invoices, as required for departmental files
  • May process stop payment requests within established time frame, notifying appropriate
payroll contact when processed
  • As assigned, run budget variance reports and download them onto a spreadsheet, checking
information against data in accounting system to ensure correct
  • Distribute budget variance reports to appropriate departmental staff once information has been
verified
  • Perform audit of construction draws on new sites, ensuring purchases are reasonable and
invoice amounts add up to total
  • Generate standardized and recurring reports in a timely and accurate manner ensuring
adherence to departmental policies and procedures
  • Resolve any discrepancies with data prior to distribution
  • Develop custom reports, as requested, ensuring quality and timely response


Tax Functions - Assist with preparing monthly use tax forms and property tax forms in a timely
and accurate manner while adhering to departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist supervisor with ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, including
income, sales, use, and business taxes
  • Compile information needed to calculate state and local tax credits and submit such
information to supervisor
  • Confer and correspond with external consultants to obtain tax credit information
  • Confer and correspond with payroll departments to obtain payroll data needed for compliance
with tax laws or for calculation of tax credits
  • Perform limited tax research, as needed



Customer Service - Establish professional relationships with internal/external customers
  • Provide customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves level of service
being provided
  • Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact
the services being provided
Team Interfaces - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with team members and
department contacts
  • Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
  • Escalate work flow and communication issues to supervisor
  • Treat all internal/external customers and team members with dignity/respect
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

Experience


  • Minimum one year experience in an accounting environment required
Other
  • Basic knowledge of Modern office procedures, methods, and equipment required
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • PEZA and Tax regulatory knowledge a plus
