Job Description

• The Assistant / General Manager has overall responsibility for managing the administration and operations of the Town Council
• Act as One of the key officers for the Town Council, as prescribed under the Town Council Act
• Leads a team to administer and manage the affairs of the Town Council efficiently and effectively
• Plays a critical role enabling the town council to execute and implement policies, projects and initiatives to enhance the living environment and the quality of life in the public housing estates of the Town
• Overseeing the team to ensure delivery of services according to contract specifications.
• To achieve financial targets set by the company
• To maintain customer relations and to ensure targets set by the Town Council
• To assist the team to grow township business.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification and with at least 10 years relevant experience in Facilities Management/ Estate Management/ Engineering.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude to build and maintain relationships both internal and external and at multiple levels within organization.
• Self-driven with the capability to multi- task and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standard
• A team player who is meticulous to details
• Able to work and deal sensitively and fairly with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Able to provide strong leadership to a team of Property Managers and Officers
• Good Knowledge of accounting, contracts administration, legislations and statutory requirements with regards to township properties.
• Able to withstand pressure and work beyond normal working hours and on weekends/public holidays
