Job PurposeAt Great Eastern, we are developing and deploying Artificial Intelligence solutions to generate value at scale for our business. Reporting to the Head of Group Data Science, the AI trust scientist is responsible to ensure that our AI models are transparent, fair and trustworthy. You will be at the forefront of research and development efforts aimed at enhancing the trustworthiness of our AI models. You will conduct research, develop methodologies, and create tools that ensure AI models are aligned with our Group AI governance policy and procedures. You play a critical role to build trust in our AI models to scale the adoption and usage of AI.The Job\xc2\xb7 Conduct research on AI fairness, ethics, transparency and accountability\xc2\xb7 Design and develop new methodologies for assessing and improving the trustworthiness of AI solutions\xc2\xb7 Develop advanced techniques for detecting, quantifying, and mitigating bias in data and AI algorithms and develop guidelines and best practices to address these biases\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with data scientists to integrate bias mitigation techniques and embed trust and transparency into AI solutions\xc2\xb7 Assess AI model fit-for-purpose and develop control and mitigation plans to address unintended harm caused by errors or malicious use of AI solutions\xc2\xb7 Investigate and develop novel methods to improve the explainability and interpretability of AI models\xc2\xb7 Provide thought leadership on the ethical implications of AI technologies and design frameworks that enable non-technical stakeholders to understand AI decision-making processes\xc2\xb7 Ensure AI solutions are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards\xc2\xb7 Innovate and propose new initiatives that push the boundaries of trustworthy AI\xc2\xb7 Provide group level support to extended data science team based in other Great Eastern officesQualificationsOur Requirements\xc2\xb7 Masters in artificial intelligence or data science preferred.\xc2\xb7 8 to 10 years of experience working in artificial intelligence or data science projects required.\xc2\xb7 Experience in the management of responsible AI required.\xc2\xb7 Competency in Python and SQL programming required\xc2\xb7 Practical knowledge in statistical and artificial intelligence techniques including GLM, Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Text Mining, Network analysis, etc. required.\xc2\xb7 Practical knowledge in open-source libraries such as scikit-learn, numpy, tensorflow etc. required.\xc2\xb7 Experience in data visualisation software such as Tableau is a plus.\xc2\xb7 Experience in using BigQuery, Google Analytics and Amazon SageMaker is a plus.About Great EasternEstablished in 1908, Great Eastern places customers at the heart of everything we do.
