YOUR ROLE

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing the coordination of our customer shipments by securing securing space with Planing department or rates with procurement / KN overseas offices. Specifically, the Operational Care Specialist will be part of a team responsible for coordinating transport activities by: executing the necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, executing the required data entry associated with transport document generation and generating the required documentation. The Operational Care Specialist needs to liaise with our customers to ensure specific requirements are met (Transit Times, Carrier selection , Routings etc). All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing air transport and associated national protocols and executed via KN operational systems. The operations tasks inclusive of all perishable shipments.

• To ensure quality shipment management, import + export services.
• To collaborate with Customer Care Locations (CCL), Revenue Care Centers (RCC), sales, systems + processes teams to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• To build + strengthen supplier relationships.
• To support pricing + quotation preparations for parked customers & to initiate and resolve any rate or performance discrepancies
• To ensure information + knowledge is shared across all relevant teams.
• To drive continuous improvements of processes for cost effectiveness + productivity.
• To prepare + participate in internal + external audits for KN FreshChain certification.
• To Manage operational tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA) and all related features.
• To review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions including to clarify any deviations/conflicts in contradiction to country regulations, export compliance and rate and routing information.
• To immediately report problems, operational disputes or discrepancies to supervisors, managers, divisional managers or branch managers
• To monitor operational performance of carriers and other vendors and escalate / create awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain
• Possess at least 3 years of experience in Airfreight, perishables knowledge is a plus
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with suppliers and partners
• Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
