Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd (CAG) manages Changi Airport in all functions covering airport operations and its management, air hub development, commercial activities, and airport emergency services. The Airside Operations unit is critical to manage the safety, capacity, and efficiency of our airfield: our runways, taxiways, and apron.
You will be leading a multi-skilled team on shift trained to manage the real-time airside operations balancing safety, capacity, and efficiency. To maintain overall situational awareness and control across the airside, you will direct your team as well as our airside stakeholders to proactively optimize resource allocation of resources and rectify any developments/disruptions that may have impact on operations. You will be expected to actively engage and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders while we work towards a safe and efficient airside.
Should there be any safety incidents at the runways, taxiways, or apron, you will take on a command role and make effective use of available airside resources to ensure business continuity with minimal impact to operations and airport experience.
Apron, Runway and Taxiway Management (Manoeuvring Area)
You will oversee operations across the different areas within the aircraft manoeuvring area, including the apron which is heavily used by vehicles/equipment servicing the aircraft.
In ensuring uninterrupted and resilient operations of our aircraft movement areas, you and your team will work closely with stakeholders to plan for, identify and/or manage events and developments within our airside. As the airside manager, you are empowered to make key decisions while leading the team to respond to incidents within the area.
The team shall also ensure serviceability of our airport infrastructure and equipment, such that stakeholders are able to executive the aircraft turnaround process effectively. You will also maintain oversight of work activities within the aircraft movement areas and make critical decisions to allow or cancel them in consideration of operational effectiveness.
Airside Flow Management
You will oversee the allocation of our resources to optimise our aircraft stand and gate planning. With access to real-time overview of the aerodrome, you will actively balance considerations/trade-offs such as stand compatibility (with aircraft type), flight schedules, terminal operations, ongoing construction/upgrading works, etc and be prepared to make prompt changes to manage capacity issues as appropriate, in the best interest of the entire airport.
You will actively work with internal and external stakeholders to monitor on-ground situations, and to coordinate follow-ups to operational incidents/issues.
