The incumbent will be supporting alumni engagement efforts to strengthen and maintain relationships between the School and its alumni community. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies, managing events, and fostering engagement opportunities to enhance alumni participation and support.

This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, event planning expertise and relationship-building abilities.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication activities to engage and inform the alumni about institution news, updates and events
  • Create compelling content for various channels, including newsletters, social media platforms, email campaigns and alumni websites
  • Coordinate with alumni volunteers to gather and share news, success stories, and updates from the alumni community
  • Plan, organize and execute a variety of alumni events, such as reunions, networking receptions, workshops and talks
  • Coordinate event registration, attendee tracking, and post-event follow-up communications
  • Collaborate with event vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth event logistics
  • Provide on-site support during the events as needed
  • Recruit and manage a network of alumni volunteers to support event planning, programmes mentoring, fundraising campaigns and other engagement initiatives
  • Maintain regular communication with the volunteers, recognizing their contributions and fostering a sense of community
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, event management or in a related field
  • Previous experience in alumni relations, event planning, communications will be advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in using communication tools, CRM systems and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and execution, including logistical coordination and vendor management
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including alumni, volunteers, staff and external partners
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and experience supporting development initiatives is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for building and maintaining relationships
