Role Overview

AGA is seeking a full-time Intern to be based in Singapore. We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of, and interest in, the country\xe2\x80\x99s business, politics, and economics.

The candidate must have strong research and writing skills and be able to produce concise and insightful analysis on economic, political, and legal developments in Singapore. Candidates with prior internship experience in government, think tanks and research institutions, academia or journalism will be prioritized. Prior internship experience in government relations, corporate affairs or strategic communications is also an advantage.

Working as an Intern in AGA provides a rewarding opportunity to gain experience in the dynamic space between Asia\xe2\x80\x99s governments, businesses, and civil society organizations. Our Interns play critical roles in a growing firm providing solutions to some of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest and most respected companies and organizations.

Interns are at an advantage to join AGA when timely, relevant analyst positions open.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting research on specific regulations, legislation, and policies for clients or project work
• Local media monitoring
• Drafting PowerPoint presentations and project updates
• Researching new business trends and industries
• Providing logistic support for meetings and events as needed and assigned
• Supporting AGA\xe2\x80\x99s bulletin team in drafting weekly updates, focused on political, economic, domestic/foreign policies
• Supporting additional operational and administrative activities, when required

Desired skills and experience:

• Outstanding research and writing skills.
• Highly articulate English language skills, both written and verbal
• Engaging interpersonal negotiation and communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environments and international settings.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• The ability to work in a team and under tight deadlines, with commitment to high-quality deliverables
• Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing priorities
• A dynamic, positive, self-starter
• Keen interest in the politics and economics of Singapore
