Job Description


Job responsibilities:

  • As a member of Planning team under Regional Business Development Department (RBDD), you will be supporting to plan and execute initiatives to support the overall APAC business.
  • You will have the opportunity to work closely with Country Desk team in the same department, who directly work with Relationship Managers in APAC.
  • You will be also closely communicating with Planning team in each country and multiple Product offices.
  • You will be engaged in initiation and penetration of regional strategy in collaboration with Country Desk team, through Annual Account Strategy framework, Deal Screening Committee, seeking for not only expansion of business, but also promoting healthy balance through risk/governance initiatives. Support and co-working with Country Desk team will also be a key factor in order to have deep understanding of the business on the ground and reflect key discussion points and improvements into planning tasks through establishment and refinement of regional framework.
  • You will closely coordinate with Product offices and risk departments based in Singapore as Regional HQ to capture cross border transactions and ancillary business for maximizing profitability and expanding business horizon for Asian Local Corporates, thereby meeting revenue budgets of the country/region.
  • The role will require basic understanding of banking products, risk-return metric/framework, and credit analysis. As a planning member, capability to assess using data analysis skills to overview regional portfolio data and implement practical and effective initiatives are essential. Good balance of business promotion and governance is one of the key aspects of this assignment.
  • Being stationed at the Regional HQ, Singapore, your role would involve Senior Stake Holder Management and involvement in strategic projects as directed by Global/Regional Management to achieve Medium Term Business Plan of the bank. You should be able to influence all relevant local and regional stakeholders.
  • As a regional team member, you should monitor the portfolio risks across Asia-Pacific to minimize any adverse impact of the financial performance of Asian local corporates. Also proactively alert management on any significant risk to performance.
  • Ensure that all Business Risks are managed and reported / escalated as appropriate. Should create a culture of Zero tolerance on Compliance and regulatory affairs.
Job requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience.
  • Recognised Bachelor’s Degree from related fields
  • General Knowledge of Corporate Banking products and services.
  • Background in data consolidation and analysis of lending portfolio will be of added advantage.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Meticulous with eye for details with analytical bent of mind.
  • Strong adaptability and able to work well in a team
  • PC Skill; Word/Excel/PowerPoint (mid-high level), Access (preferred)
