Job Responsibilities
GOVERNANCE:
  • Ensure effective governance of regulatory reporting at territories, business lines and functions level to ensure timely, accurate submission of reports
  • Perform control monitoring/adherence to a standard governance for territories, business lines and functions
  • Monitor exceptions from controls on reporting and work with key stakeholders across the Operations, Business, Finance, Technology as well as Legal and Compliance to remediate any gaps
  • Develop framework to promote continued excellence for regulatory reporting (i.e. adequate trainings are conducted and to inculcate continuous improvement mind-set to increase efficiency) with clear inventory of regulatory reports (regulatory requirement and corresponding business requirement document, completeness/timeliness/quality operational and re-performance controls)
DELIVERY & MANAGEMENT UPDATE
  • Manage successful delivery of regulatory reporting related projects (including implementation & change management), ensuring standardization of production methodology, processes, KPIs and dashboards
  • Read across and follow-up on events arising from incidents, audit findings and permanent control actions
  • Provide clear and concise updates on progress of regulatory projects/changes, initiatives during Territory steering committees and organize the quarterly Regional Regulatory Reporting steering committee
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS:
  • Collaborate with peers in the Risk ORM & Compliance teams in the development, prioritization and execution of a coordinated book of work delivering any regulatory requirements updates impacting APAC, enhancements, efficiency gains, control improvements and transparent metrics
  • Represent BNP Paribas in relevant industry forums & in interactions with counterparties, vendors, solution providers and regulators. Drive advocacy efforts in the region and coordinate with senior internal stakeholders to present BNP Paribas\' priorities to regulators and industry bodies
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders across APAC in case of any audit on regulatory reporting matters
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
DOMAIN
  • 7-10 years of financial industry experience covering front to back banking processes with exposure to Regulatory space, Compliance, Risk, Operations or Project Management in these areas
  • Knowledge of general regulatory environment and ability to interpret regulatory policies will be a plus
  • Experience in representing a financial institution in discussions with external stakeholders (e.g. auditors, regulators and industry bodies)
  • Ability to follow data feeds across organization to assess how processes & controls impact report production
BEHAVIOURAL
  • Good Communication, problem solving and analytical skills - attention to details is important. Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to develop relationships internally and externally to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across the organization with proven experience of interaction with C-suite e.g. Territory COOs and CEOs
