This role involves coordinating with local tax advisors to manage tax compliance, including gathering required information, reviewing tax returns, and ensuring timely, accurate filings and payments. You will liaise with local tax authorities on notices, elections, and assessments while collaborating with internal and external teams to maintain tax and legal structures, ensuring alignment of legal documents and financial records. Additionally, you will lead value-added initiatives such as cost segregation studies to optimize cash flow and reduce tax leakage. You will also provide insights on local tax matters, assist in calculating and budgeting tax liabilities, and prepare US GAAP quarterly tax provisions to ensure appropriate reserves for US reporting. This role includes monitoring US REIT compliance, supporting due diligence, and documenting the company's tax positions, including transfer pricing policies and internal control processes, for Asia-Pacific operations. This is a unique opportunity to engage with complex, multifaceted tax issues in a dynamic and expanding organization.Your ProfileThe ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, with professional certification being a plus. They should bring a minimum of 7 years of combined public and corporate tax experience, preferably including Big 4 exposure and familiarity with US GAAP tax accounting principles. Experience in a multinational corporation is highly desirable. The client is looking for a perceptive, self-motivated professional who thrives under pressure, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
