Provides support in deployment of Business Continuity Plans and
delivers tools to measure and assess effectiveness of the Business
Continuity framework.

As a part of this dynamic ecosystem, you will play a direct role in providing, enhancing, and executing the processes necessary to support and allow stowage planners to formulate seaworthy stowage plans and provide the best service to our customers. Your expertise in application support, providing the required tools and resolving issues is imperative to our efforts in achieving our goals. We aim maintain highest safety, efficient and sustainable in serving our customers.

The role will enable you to develop critical skills such as stakeholder management, cross functional collaboration, vendor management, process improvement, critical problem solving, product development and customer orientation. In addition, you will be gaining insights into Maersk’s processes from an operational perspective, and you will experience a career in the undisputed leader of the industry.

• Coordinate and collaborate with Maersk stowage entities and external vendors to ensure vessel profiles and onboard stability programs are delivered timely and of good quality as required.
• Acquire vessel documents and prioritise vessel profiling work orders for all the stowage entities (Maersk, Sealand Europe, Sealand Asia, Sealand America, Alianca)
• Maintain application used for monitor vessel phase in and out and storing of vessel vital information and document.
• Collaborate with stowage planners, stowage specialists and others to ensure vessel profiles are the most updated in term of vessel slots, reefers, pigtails and etc to maximise the vessels’ space.
• Build, maintain, enhance and support of essential applications & systems that evolve around a stowage planner’s daily scope to ensure continual growth and efficiency of the tools.
• Identify all potential issues revolving around the team ‘s portfolio, which may affect operations, highlighting and following up with the necessary actions to prevent/mitigate any impacts from contingencies
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure stowage planners’ core task of stowage planning is not disrupted.
• Conduct root cause analysis on issues and come up with solutions/ preventive measurement to prevent future occurrence.
• Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement for both the team and the department in all aspects and portfolio as required.

Candidates who fulfil any of the below criteria will have an advantage:
o Engineering background
o Naval Engineering/ Naval Architecture
- Candidates with background in programming concepts - Programming background (VBA, MySQL, SQL Server, Basic Web Application Creation Knowledge.)

• Fresh graduates from any discipline, will be considered.
• Above all, candidates need to have a strong sense of self-drive, urgency, responsibility, and customer obsession especially for internal customers. One that is strong in time management, agile and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Candidates must be good communicator and a strong team player. Being a vital cog in the entire flow of the operations, having to interact with many stakeholders of various backgrounds and culture are to be expected daily.
• Technical expertise is not a must but the adaptability and receptiveness to new technology and operating systems is a vital advantage.
