Digital Solutions & Analytics is seeking an Application Support Specialist based in Singapore. As an Application Support Specialist, you will spend a significant part of your time to support Jeppesen Crew Systems. You will be the main voice for customers within Jeppesen for product improvement and bringing more values to the customers. Your main responsibilities will cover following areas:
Support crew resource management software targeted to the aviation sector
Manage incidents (bug, question or change request) arising from the airlines.
Collaboration with product development team, service account team to protect Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Troubleshoot our world-leading software solutions and analyze code to assist the clients support team in finding solutions and workarounds to problems.
Provide suggestions for improvement on business processes.
Implement improvements to better align client systems.
Implement Change Requests when required.
Occasionally travel to visit customers primarily within APAC region.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System, Information Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in information technology or software technical support
At least 2 years of experience effectively working in a Linux/Unix environment
3+ years of experience knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++ or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience within airline operations or aerospace industry
Experience working with cross functional teams in global organization(s)
Familiar with the Crew & Ops portfolio and products
Good Knowledge of Linux, UGE, Mercurial/GIT, Exceed TurboX, Jboss/Wildfly
Analytical, Troubleshooter, Problem Solver and ability to reverse engineer
Ability to influence customer and others
