Job Description


:The Master Planning Office (MPO) has been set up to develop a long-term conceptual layout with short-term capital projects to guide future growth and development of the Gardens to deliver its vision and mission. MPO will also establish guiding principles for decision making with regards to land use, infrastructure, transportation, environmental, community engagement and other aspects of development.As an Architect in the Master Planning Office (MPO), you will:

  • Lead architectural design and space planning efforts for new infrastructure and flagship projects within Gardens by the Bay.
  • Conduct space optimization and feasibility studies, considering budget constraints, funding approval processes, and project programming.
  • Study Senior Management\'s requirements, analyse constraints and opportunities, propose strategies and solutions, and present these visually and verbally.
  • Prepare project briefs, site plans, drawings and specifications for the procurement of contractors, as required by different projects.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and needs, ensuring alignment with Gardens by the Bay\'s existing identity and design philosophy.
  • Serve as the secretariat to the Master Planning Committee, facilitating communication and coordination.
  • Review architecture design and material proposals from consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with specifications and code requirements.
  • Develop ideation and creative sketches to articulate desired project outcomes.
  • Leverage knowledge of government policies and frameworks to enhance project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architectural design, space planning, and project management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
  • Knowledge of government policies and frameworks will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Familiarity with horticulture and use of plant materials in design will be an added advantage.
