The Role We have an excellent permanent opportunity based in Mumbai, India, for an experienced solution sales candidate to join our APAC team to fill the role of Area Sales Manager for the South Asian Markets region (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). Key Responsibilities Include: Marketing and business development to promote Kapsch as a provider of choice. Generating and managing a sales pipeline of qualified new business and mature prospects. Identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and securing product and solution sales opportunities. Identifying, qualifying, securing, and managing channel partners and technology partners. Leading multi-disciplinary teams to prepare and deliver offers to customers that ensure deal success and reduce barriers to adoption of the solution. Developing budget plans for all activity within the region. Working with the Solution Consulting team to identify regional-appropriate solutions. Attending and presenting at industry events, functions, and conferences to show thought leadership and to promote Kapsch as a provider of choice. Developing market intelligence to be able to identify future prospects. Developing a strong network of relationships within the industry to be a partner and provider of choice. Preparing reports, budgets, and managing CRM database (Salesforce). Who You Are: 8-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a solution selling environment, including five years within Transportation, Infrastructure, and Automation industries. Strong network of government and industry contacts in the Transportation and Industrial Automation industries. Work independently and are comfortable receiving minimal guidance. Degree from a recognised university in a relevant discipline. Business level proficiency in English and Hindi are a must. Ability to communicate in other regional languages including Bengali, Sinhalese, and / or Tamil will be an advantage. Comfortable presenting to large audiences. Willing to develop product and solution knowledge with guidance and formal training provided by Kapsch.
