Job Description

:

\xe2\x97\x8f The database administrator is required to work closely with the application development, infra and support team to ensure that databases are running optimal.

\xe2\x97\x8f Setup/provision SQL Server and PostgreSQL in on-prem and cloud (AWS) environment

\xe2\x97\x8f Monitoring and Optimizing Database Performance, including infra level optimisation (CPU, memory, disk utilisation) and SQL query optimisation.

\xe2\x97\x8f Execute database migration from on-premises data center to AWS.

\xe2\x97\x8f Performs proactive daily health check on databases, such as back up and housekeeping.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist in any ad-hoc database related queries/requests from internal team or clients.

\xe2\x97\x8f On-call support for production databases urgent issues

Qualifications:

\xe2\x97\x8f Preferably at least a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IT or Computing or equivalent domain; or equivalent hands on experiences.

\xe2\x97\x8f At least 3 years hands on experience in managing production database operation and database performance tuning.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experienced with AWS database (RDS and EC2) provisioning and monitoring. Experience with other Cloud Platforms can be considered.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in monitoring database server performances.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in setting up Highly Available SQL Server/PostgreSQL environments will be an advantage.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in setting up database replications.

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiarity with Windows and Linux platform.

\xe2\x97\x8f Understanding of database security will be an advantage.

\xe2\x97\x8f Analytical mindset in problem solving database issues.
