Are you an experienced risk professional looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team in Singapore? Macquarie Capital is hiring an Asia Lead for its Operational Risk Management and broader Non-Financial Risk functions.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Macquarie Capital Global Lead BORM based in Sydney, you will closely support our growing Infrastructure and Energy Capital (IEC) division that invests in development, construction and operation of infrastructure assets across the Economic & Social, Digital and Energy Transition sectors.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the IEC Asia Management in the management of operational and other non-financial risks, across the principal transaction lifecycle. You will provide expert risk advice to the business as they execute transactions and manage/oversee their portfolio of assets. You will also work alongside deal teams to ensure that key non-financial risks arising from new business opportunities and transactions are identified can be appropriately mitigated. For transactions that are approved and completed, you will also play a key role in supporting ongoing portfolio management activities and executing post-implementation reviews.

You will also provide support to Macquarie Capital's Corporate Advisory and Capital Markets businesses in Asia.

You will take ownership of applying Macquarie's Operational Risk Management Framework in Macquarie Capital's businesses in Asia. This includes facilitating workshops with senior business and support area stakeholders to confirm that the Macquarie Capital's Risk and Control Self-Assessment reflects the business risk and control profile. You will work with the business to investigate Operational Risk Incidents and Issues; and assist in problem solving and developing appropriate remediation action plans.

As the senior non-financial risk expert in Macquarie Capital Asia, you will have an overarching responsibility for promoting a strong risk culture by providing sound risk guidance and advice, and driving regular risk-related training and communications.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 10 years of cumulative experience in governance, risk management or internal control roles, ideally in the energy and / or infrastructure sector. You will have excellent stakeholder management as well as communication skills (written and spoken English).
