Purpose of Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of DIT Asia & Global Enterprise Architecture, the incumbent is responsible for providing Digital & Information Technology (DIT) solutions to Santen Asia business so that Santen\xe2\x80\x99s effectiveness and efficiency are improved and competitive. The incumbent is required to develop, execute and manage IT projects within the defined scope as well as expedite and manage a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.



Stakeholder Relationship and Vendor Management

  • Liaise and maintain good working relationships with business leaders as well as global DIT managers (Head of Infrastructure Systems, Leaders of Global Business Solutions, Global Information Security, Global Service Operations etc.) to understand their current and future information needs and determine who information systems should be installed, configured and maintained to best meet their needs
  • Partner with IT vendors, external stakeholders and users on system matters.
  • Manage vendors and their performance to ensure their commitment and quality of work
DIT Strategy and Project Portfolio
  • Work closely with the direct managers and team to develop regional infra and service operations strategy, based on the understanding of Santen Asia\xe2\x80\x99s business environment, business model and company strategy as well as Global DIT\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and architecture
  • Manage project portfolio so that the totality of project deliverables meets short- and long-term business priorities
Project Initiation and Management
  • Recommend suitable DIT project plans that enables the business to achieve its goals
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization\xe2\x80\x99s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively
  • Manage the project as DIT Project Manager or as a key member and measure performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget
  • Depending on the characteristics of the project, perform various systems implementation activities such as design and development
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to business key stakeholders and/or global DIT teams
  • Make recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues
Service Management and System Utilization
  • Ensure the systems are managed based on good Service Management processes and maintain an overall positive service standard for an enhanced user experience
  • Monitor the usage of the systems and help users utilize the functionalities. Research, evaluate and recommend enhancement of the system and processes to increase the capabilities of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s information systems
  • Work with Global Infrastructure and Global Service Operations team to manage overall technology infrastructure services, end user computing environment and workspace, business continuity and recovery of company\xe2\x80\x99s information systems in the region
  • Work with Global Info Sec to enhance information and data security in Asia, manage information security response process and operation.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancement, emerging standards, and new software/hardware solutions. Be proactive to explore and propose idea for ongoing improvements
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, guidelines, feedback procedures and relevant training sessions to users
Vendor Management
  • Work with service desk team to provide IT support to users for IT hardware - laptops, mobile devices; software-related programs, network and server access issues.
  • Lead, direct support and evaluate outsourcers to ensure that the organization\xe2\x80\x99s information systems are supported effectively and within budget
Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline
  • At least 10 years of IT professional experiences with at least 5 years of regional experience. Experience in pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong background on IT infrastructure & system operation management \xe2\x80\x93 ServiceNow, Office 365 (Exchange Online / SharePoint Online / Teams), Cisco Meraki WAP, SD-WAN, zero trust etc.
  • Excellent knowledge on system analysis and design of business applications.
  • Practical project management skills, with ability to manage and implement technologies. PMP certification is preferred.
  • Excellent project and technical documentation skills
  • Fundamental knowledge on ITIL
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English, Chinese
