Assistant Audience Editor, The Business Times

Job Description
The Business Times (BT) is South-east Asia's leading business publication based in Singapore, the region's financial hub.
As part of BT's digital transformation, we are growing our audience strategy team to better serve our users and subscribers. As the Assistant Audience Editor, you will occupy a key role in planning and executing strategies to increase readership and engagement with our content, and to attract and retain subscribers. Prior experience working in audience strategy is not required.
This role has a hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Improve reach and engagement by working closely with the editorial team, including the news editors and journalists, social media team, and various multimedia content teams
- Contribute to and potentially manage editorial content and audience engagement projects
- Work with both internal and external partners to reach audience and business targets (e.g. subscriptions and reach)
- Improve newsroom data literacy and understanding of audience concepts through regular internal communication
- Assist the Associate Editor (Audience) and Deputy Audience Editor with any other duties
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in media-related roles
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical and written skills
- Interest in financial markets, economics and business trends is a plus
- Experience with analytics and media business metrics is a plus
