A rapidly expanding organisation is seeking an Assistant Category Manager (12 months FTC) in Singapore to take on a newly created role. In this job, you will be reporting directly to the Category Manager and be part of a team responsible for leading the business in its next phase of growth.

About the Assistant Category Manager (12 months FTC) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be tasked to support the Category Manager in the day-to-day tasks which includes reporting, product analysis, communications and product management. You will be required to establish excellent stakeholder relationships with local and international suppliers to achieve your goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and evaluate the results while tracking and reporting projects progress/status
  • Develop commercial analysis to support negotiations, coordinating of data cleansing activities
  • Develop contingencies for the market by understanding and analysing supply markets, whilst simultaneously collating a database of supplier partners and their capabilities
  • Understand the supplier partners processing operations, specifications for each product and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of commodity pricing and outlook
To succeed in the Assistance Category Manager (12 months) role, you will need to have the resilience and tenacity to work effectively and co-operatively with various stakeholders, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Category/ Procurement Assistant Management, preferably in Food and Beverage categories within the FMCG/QSR industry
  • Strong project management knowledge, coupled with negotiation and analytic skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to understand customer\'s operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to compile data and present in a tactful manner
