Job Description

The Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH) serves as Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s lead scientific platform under the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme, to bring together researchers, regulators and industry to build up Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s food safety science and R&D capabilities to secure Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s food supply and economic value proposition. FRESH will embark on R&D and talent development activities to help enhance Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s local food regulatory capabilities. FRESH is part of the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme (SFS), with partner organisations being the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), A*STAR and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

As a key member of the FRESH core team, the Assistant Director will work with the FRESH Director to provide support the operations and administration.

Assistant Director (FRESH):

• As a key member of the FRESH core team, the Assistant Director (FRESH) will be responsible for the following:

• Key coordinator at FRESH for FRESH partnership between SFA, A*STAR and NTU.
• Fully involved in supporting the operations and financial administration of FRESH.
• Promote research capabilities to industry partners and explore potential collaborations.
• Coordinate and host industry visits and meetings.
• Build network and strengthen relationships with industry partners, including handling key collaboration portfolio with industry partners.
• Prepare reports, monitor and follow up on industry engagements and trends.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Assistant Director (FRESH) should have the following qualifications:

• Scientific degree and experience in business development would be an advantage
• Good business acumen, resourceful and is a team player
• Strong network and working knowledge of the Singapore research, regulatory and food industry environment.
