What the role is
You are required to : - assist the Director and Deputy Director to strategize, secure resources, and oversee the implementation of specialized programmes to engage hard to reach target segments. - Supervise the team in promoting, growing and sustaining Courses and Interest Groups (IGs) as a means to build a vibrant community and increase social capital.
What you will be working on
Your key duties and responsibilities include the following: Strategize and securing resources for specialized programmes - Assist the Director and Deputy Director in the strategic planning of key programmes or new initiatives to reach out to hard to reach target segments - Assist the Director in leading the division to forge and cultivate strategic partnerships, so as to deepen relationships & build social capital - Secure the necessary resources, including funding and strategic partnerships with internal (other divisions) and external stakeholders (eg, partners, other government agencies), and lead the team to develop, market, promote and implement existing and new courses and programmes at the CCs/RCs/NCs Lead the team to develop new and maintain existing courses and interest group programmes - Study industry and market trends/practices to recommends new course guidelines and policies, and implement the course guidelines and practices to achieve professional and high quality standards in the management of Trainers/Private Operators - Course curation with Trainers/Private Operators and partners to develop new courses and programmes & repackage existing courses at the CCs/RCs/RNs/NCs, and assist the team to develop, promote and implement national level initiatives and programmes to reach out to the hard-to-reach target segments - Develop, promote and grow strong interest group communities - Identify relevant government departments, community and corporate organisations and collaborate with them as partners to expand and support outreach to residents through courses and interest groups - Leverage on social media to promote the courses and interest group communities under his or her purview to residents - Produce writing reports, course proposals and press releases etc. - Spearhead various projects and high point events to promote and showcase courses & interest groups
What we are looking for
- Relevant working experience as an effective team leader with good track records - Demonstrated strong leadership with at least 3 years of exemplary working experience as a Senior Manager or Assistant Director, leading a team of 5 staff or more. - Experienced in partnership role, has strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders; including grassroots leaders, inter-divisional teams, multi-agencies, community and corporate partners - Strong in written and oral communications skills, and/or track record and experience in marketing of programmes - Creative, innovative and resourceful, with strong organizational, strategic thinking and communication skills. - Possess knowledge, skills in social media and have demonstrated experience in handling suitable networking tools to expand outreach and engage netizens - Strong management & problem solving skills - Strong in powerpoint, data collation, analysis and presentation - Willing to work on several weekends and weeknights
