Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will assist in the management of the NTUC accounts, which include the reviewing of financial policies and procedures, management reporting, and have experience in managing finance operations and finance system implementations. You will also assist the Deputy Director, Finance to oversee and review the work done by the finance team.
Details of responsibilities include:
Review financial statements to ensure accurate preparation of accounts and timely reporting to management
Analyse monthly financial performance, explaining variances, and identifying trends
Lead and manage the budgeting process
Review financial procedures and policies relating to all finance processes as part of the continuous efforts to balance processing speed and corporate governance
Review and monitor Cash Flows of various funds
Provide support by liaising with colleagues from various departments on all aspects of finance matters
Lead the Finance team in implementing new digital initiatives and using digital solutions to improve efficiency of operational and system processes
Support NTUC-ARU in Digital Transition Track programs pertaining to Finance processes and collections
Liaise with external and internal auditors on all financial matters
Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Director, Finance or the Deputy Director.
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent and preferably a Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is preferred
Has experience in managing finance operations
Competent knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and finance/statutory requirements
Good knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work with management and staff of all levels
Committed, diligent and meticulous
Able to multi-task and work under pressure
