Description:

The Intellectual Property Policy Division (IPPD) oversees and develops Singapore\'s intellectual property (IP) policies and strategies, to encourage and support innovation and creativity. During the course of your work, you will collaborate closely with other Singapore Government agencies on cross-agency issues, and interact regularly with the private sector and academia. You will also have the opportunity to interact with counterparts in other governments, IP offices and IP organisations, as well as international bodies such as the World Intellectual Property Organization. Work areas broadly include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Developing and reviewing IP policies and laws to support businesses, innovators, and the creative community. \xe2\x80\xa2 Developing Singapore\'s IP services ecosystem, such as IP prosecution, management, transaction and dispute resolution. \xe2\x80\xa2 Safeguarding and advancing Singapore\'s interests abroad by participating in international negotiations and meetings. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinating IP enforcement issues amongst Singapore Government agencies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining a conducive environment for international IP activities to flourish in Singapore. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good research skills, a keen eye for detail and an analytical mind. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good collaboration, communication and presentation skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Having one or more of the following will be an advantage: - Prior experience in policy work - Prior experience in international relations work - Prior experience in IP work - Knowledge of dispute resolution and IP laws \xe2\x80\xa2 Interest in innovation and emerging technologies.
