Mediacorp Brand Studio is hiring a talented and experienced Assistant Editor for its growing content marketing team.
Candidates should be passionate about creating impactful content that spans across different formats - from print articles to digital and social media copy - and mediums that include audio and video.
Candidates will work with a pool of freelancers and collaborate closely with an experienced in-house team of creatives, editors and art directors to produce engaging content on Mediacorp's platforms. This can be in the form of advertorials, customised digital campaigns and custom content for clients. Besides sharp writing and editing skills, the ideal candidate is also creative in storytelling, being able to shape compelling content ideas around client briefs.
The role involves taking ownership of the entire production cycle of projects - from ideation, execution to amplification - and requires good planning, project management and client management skills. The ability to work on multiple projects/campaigns with tight deadlines is essential.
The Assistant Editor will report to the Senior Editors of Mediacorp Brand Studio.

Responsibilities :

• Manage projects/campaigns within the Brand Studio team
• Manage writers, designers and freelancers to ensure successful development and execution of projects/campaigns to high standards
• Work with in-house creative, editorial and art teams to create innovative content solutions
• Work with various editorial and product development teams to ensure branded content fits seamlessly on Mediacorp platforms
• Ensure all projects/campaigns are delivered on time and represent the highest creative and editorial standards
• Develop compelling branded content that aligns thematically with the sponsoring brands and fits seamlessly alongside editorial content across platforms

Requirements :

• At least 5 years' experience in a relevant role for Assistant Editor
• Proven track record as a creative storyteller. Must be strong with original concepts
• Journalism experience in creating factual editorial for newsroom or digital platforms. Strong editorial judgment and appreciation for the rigour of fact-checking are key.
• Ability to produce video content a plus
• Experience working with different formats of content, ranging from video and infographics, to podcasts and feature stories of different beats
• Experience in creating both bite-sized and longer-form content for a digital market is a plus
• Familiarity with Mediacorp's platforms, brands and celebrities is an asset
• Wide interest and knowledge of local and international current affairs, pop culture and digital trends
• Strong industry network an advantage
