Job Description
Primary Objectives of Position
- To perform monitoring and control operations for NEL Power Supply & Environment Control System (ECS) via ISCS in the Operational Control Centre.
\xe2\x96\xaa To report, monitor alarms/tripping/fault occurrence and inform maintenance team to verify at site and to follow up on fault/alarm reported.
\xe2\x96\xaa To support/participate/perform testing and commissioning via remote/local operation associated with Power and ECS installations.
\xe2\x96\xaa To carry out remote switching operation for the ventilation system during routine and emergency situations.
\xe2\x96\xaa To carry out remote switching operation for the 22kV, 1500V DC and 400V equipment to restore the power supply under fault or intake outage conditions.
\xe2\x96\xaa To carry out remote switching for electrical isolation and normalization from OCC with the certification of authorization issued by LEW in support of routine and maintenance operation.
\xe2\x96\xaa Exercise decisions in advising and give authorization on equipment isolation and normalization to operation and maintenance staff
\xe2\x96\xaa To carry out any other task or work as assigned by supervisor.
Specific Safety Responsibilities
- To follow and comply with the safety requirements as specified in Departmental Works Instruction and all Rail related Safety Rules and Procedures.
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic with 3 years working experience or NITEC in Electrical Technology with 10 years working experience.
- Preferably with 5 years working experience in high voltage environment or control room operation.
- Preferably Licensed Electrical Worker (Technician/Electrician Grade)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, self-motivated and result oriented.
- Good team leader
