The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, coordination, and execution of Maintenance activities. It ensures safe, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner. What's the role As Maintenance Assistant Engineer (Quality Measurement Instrument), you will provide technical support, carry out hands-on maintenance and coordinates maintenance work related to QMI in the Production Unit. The role assures that activities on the weekly schedule, emergencies or assigned non routine maintenance work are executed with quality and efficiency and in compliance to the site Health, Safety and Environment requirements Your accountabilities include the following: Provide day-to-day hands-on maintenance/troubleshooting to QMI related matters in in the Production Unit. Ensure compliance of engineering practices and assets with statutory obligations. Engineering Codes of Practices and Shell DEP standards. Reviews and communicate daily / weekly schedule assignments with workforce. Ensure compliance with HSSE standards. Liaise with/consults Operations, Technology, other Engineering and Procurement departments as part of the execution of jobs. What we need from you We are keen to speak to professionals with the following: Degree / Diploma in Control / Electronic / Mechatronics / Instrumentation or NITEC in control / Electronic / Mechatronics qualification. Minimum of 5 to 7 years engineering / Maintenance field experience in the oil or petrochemical plants. Knowledge of DCS/IPS/PRM/GSAP and Foundation fieldbus, Gas Chromatograph (GC) maintenance, and Chemical Processes would be an added advantage. Able to work independently and yet participate as a member of a multi-discipline team. Troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skill.
