SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Assistant Engineer

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in our production processes. Your work will be crucial in ensuring optimal machine performance, addressing technical issues promptly, and contributing to continuous improvements in production efficiency.

Main duties & responsibilities

Machine Design & Development:

Design and model new machinery to improve production processes, working with cross-functional teams to ensure integration.

Installation & Setup:

Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of machines, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.

Maintenance & Repairs:

Implement preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and perform or coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

Optimization & Efficiency:

Analyze performance data, identify inefficiencies, and upgrade machinery to enhance productivity and adapt to new requirements.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on maintenance, performance, and projects; update technical documentation and SOPs.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure machinery meets safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and stay updated on industry best practices.

Collaboration & Communication:

Coordinate with teams to resolve issues, train personnel, and provide regular updates on machine status and improvements.

Key skills & attributes

Proficient in engineering software (e.g., CAD) for design and analysis Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills High attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Education & experience

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in machine engineering or a similar role Strong background in designing, maintaining, and optimizing industrial machinery
