Assistant Engineer (technical/production)

Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare welded mesh shop drawings using AutoCAD for customer submissions and production use. Liaise with customers to resolve drawing discrepancies and ensure accuracy. Maintain and update all revisions of project drawings. Provide timely responses to order enquiries and act as the point of escalation when required. Assist in managing day-to-day production operations, including inventory control, safety, quality, and deliveries. Actively participate in safety initiatives, production planning, manpower allocation, and daily management activities. Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures. Perform ERP functions related to production and inventory modules. Prepare weekly production reports and monthly closing reports. Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
Competency Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field, OR Higher Nitec in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Civil Engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD with working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office applications. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. * Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
