Assistant Facilities Manager (Data Centre)

Work Dynamics - Integrated Facilities Management

Client: Bank

- Assist Facilities Manager in managing the services, day to day liaising with Client DC in charge & GIPS/DCFM in explaining and resolving their problems

- Effectively manage engineering and related administration functions, ensuring all procedures,
processes, and client requirements are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner

- Manage building/electrical/mechanical/plumbing system maintenance, including: Air-con, UPS,
CRAC, Switchgear, Alarm system, BMS system, Access card system, Fire Protection system,
Water supply and drainage system and miscellaneous electrical systems and appliances

- Ensure the implementation and management of Risk & Safety work practices to reduce the
interruption to Bank\xe2\x80\x99s operations
- Manage a team of Facilities Executive, Senior Technicians and Technicians to deliver all engineering operations, troubleshooting and issue resolution

- Manage vendors and contractors to ensure that planned Preventive Maintenance is carried out in
accordance to specifications, local codes and safe practices

- Lead the management of Power Shutdowns
- Manage a program of inspections for the assigned properties on Energy conservation,
Maintenance practices, Utility management and Risk management procedures.

- Identify and drive the implementation of engineering-related cost saving initiatives
- Implementation of risk mitigation measures and ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at
all times

- Coordination with building operations teams and following of client and building protocols relating
to maintenance work and access

- Ensure all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/ Business Continuity and Emergency
Procedures are established, maintained and follow at all times

- Oversee the effective management of data center related facilities assigned; performs regular
analysis of assets performance data; perform hands-on operations to mitigate data center related
facilities failure in a timely manner; Preparing of monthly Data Center report

- Conduce risk assessments of equipment and data center related facilities failures and takes
proactive action for preventive maintenance; performs regular reviews of electrical and mechanical
systems performance, failures, analyses and rectifies the breakdowns in a timely manner

- Any other function necessary for effective operations of the Properties or as directed by the client CRES and management

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client/Stakeholder Management
  • Deliver excellent customer service to meet on-site client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations
  • Build and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders &/or client and be comfortable working across all levels
  • Monitor procedures to ensure client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations are conveyed and worked upon
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Manage multiple vendors including hard and soft skills to deliver services on time and within budget
  • Manage vendor procurement processes in accordance with agreed client procurement guidelines as well as Jones Lang LaSalle procurement best practices
  • Ensure routine meetings are carried out to manage Key vendor performances
  • Ability to provide meeting update via minute of meeting
  • Contracts Management
  • Ensure that all contracts are professionally delivered in line with the Jones Lang LaSalle Code of Ethics
  • Continually assess contracts to ensure best value delivered to the client
  • Finance Management
  • Ensure that the site\xe2\x80\x99s financial operations are meeting targets and control requirements
  • Monitor financial processes to ensure account payable procedures are followed at all times
  • Health & Safety Management
  • Implement and manage safety procedures to ensure the provision of a safe working environment
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards
  • Site Operations Management
  • 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance is required
  • Implement Industry Best Practice operations
  • Establish Standard Operating procedures and ensuring yearly updates
  • Assist and monitor to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are maintained at all times
  • Responsible all aspect of services not limited to Janitorial, interior plants, pantry operations, meeting rooms and events
  • Seek ways to reduce costs and improve operational standards
  • Implement program to conduct inspection of premises
  • Conduct inspection of premises
  • Asset management include equipment roll in/out assessment, certification and recording/filling
  • Risk Management
  • Assist in the implementation and management of a property risk management program
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of disaster recovering and business continuity plans
  • Follow established escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures
  • Adhere to Jones Lang LaSalle\xe2\x80\x99s business conduct by ensuring compliance with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines, procedures and strategies
