Job Description


The Assistant Finance Manager is primarily responsible in overseeing the financial management and reporting activities of some companies and Accounts Payable functions for a company. He/She is also responsible in managing the group stock take process.

Responsibilities

  • Handles full set of accounts and ensures timely closing (month-ends and year-end)
  • Review journal vouchers for monthly closing purpose
  • Review monthly audit schedules and clear the reconciling items promptly
  • Review monthly financial statements
  • Review quarterly GST reports and reconciliation
  • Review AR invoices & AR outstanding list and ensure staff follow-up closely with clinics and operations on the status.
  • Review write-off list. Update HIS accordingly.
  • Review stocks take discrepancies reconciliation and expired stocks to be written off according to SOP on timely basis and properly documented
  • Prepare monthly doctor\xe2\x80\x99s professional fee computation with accuracy and completeness on timely basis
  • Manage and lead finance team to ensure timely and accurate month and year end closing reporting, to ensure compliance to internal control, accounting standards, legal and statutory requirements, including GST reporting.
  • Review month end and annual closing activities and reporting, including tracking and reporting of variances
  • Review and ensure accounts payable payments, invoices and expenses claims are accurate and duly approved by relevant Head of Department
  • Correspond with vendors/clinics and respond to inquiries
  • Review quarterly and annual stock take schedules
  • Participate in stocks take on quarterly and annual basis
  • Handle corporate tax compliance and statutory matters.
  • Participate in the budgeting preparation, management and monitoring processes.
  • Provide analysis works that are assigned by FC/AD
  • Ensure that policies and procedures and limits of authority are adhered to and financial controls are in place
  • Liaise with internal auditors, external auditors and tax agents
  • Assist in problem solving on clinics operation and financial issues
  • Handle any other ad hoc duties as directed by management
  • Assist in preparation of schedules and reports as required
  • Provide ad-hoc financial projection that are assigned by FC/AD
  • Assist in system implementation and upgrades, including redesign of workflows and processes based on best practices and automation
  • To cover other team members\xe2\x80\x99 duties during their absence
  • To undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements
  • A recognized degree
  • 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Accounting System (preferably ACCPAC)
