Job Description


  • The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager has to take care of all the functions that take place in the dining room or the main kitchen in the absence of the manger. He has to make sure that the customers get excellent service regarding food and beverages so that the goodwill of the restaurant increases
  • He has to be well equipped with the functions related to food and beverages and supervising staff
  • They have to take care of staffing and scheduling the staff for various functions that take place. He should assign duties to the subordinate for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner
  • He takes care of all the problems and queries that the customers have and try to sort them as soon as possible
  • One of the basic responsibilities of the Food and Beverages Manager is to keep a close check on the quality, quantity, presentation and services given to the customers. If all these functions are carried out properly , the popularity of the hotel rises among the customers.

Skills Required

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is expected to be highly skilled in his work. He should know all the functions that are to be performed by an F&B manager. Another important skill that should be present in an assistant food and beverage manager should be his communication skills, he should be able to solve the problems (if any) faced by the customers. He should be good at multi tasking
