This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations and be responsible for taking charge of a leadership role in the Group's machining and die-casting operations. This role will be based in Thailand, China or Vietnam and be required to travel.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for achieving the revenue, profitability and growth targets of the Group's machining and die-casting operations
Optimise value, business performance and sustainable growth
Ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, service, cost-effective and allocation of resources
Assess and improve manufacturing processes continuously to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimise production costs and investments
Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure that machined components meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations
Manage inventory to meet production demands and customer delivery schedules
Plan and control department expenses and capital expenditures to ensure efficient utilisation of resources
Analyse KPIs and generate reports to track operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights to senior management
Lead, mentor, train and evaluate the performance of employees and raise the team's ability to deliver results while creating opportunities for development and succession
Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, ISO certifications, industry regulations, safety standards and environmental guidelines
Uphold and demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Group's core values and Code of Conduct and ensure that direct report(s) are trained on their knowledge and adherence to the Group's core values, Code of Conduct, and applicable compliance and governance policies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with at least 8 years of hands-on senior managerial experience in managing manufacturing and precision engineering operations with a work force of 500-1000 people
Prior engineering or operational experience in precision machining engineering component manufacturing industry is preferred
Strong leadership, driver, team-builder, high integrity and ability to effectively lead change, both internally and externally, in a positive manner
Good business acumen and strong with numbers and financial discipline
Proven problem solving, strategic thinking skills and analytical capability to translate into high impact strategies
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the Group
* Fluent in written and spoken English. Ability to communicate in Chinese, Thai or Vietnamese is a bonus
