Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Review fund requisitions and final statement of accounts of projects
Review payment, billing and receipts journals raised by junior Executives.
Check payment runs and monitor for prompt payments to vendors.
Review budget requests from divisions for reasonableness
Work closely with divisions in annual budget exercise, fixed assets tagging and annual verification exercise
Prepare monthly budget utilisation reports and management reports.
Prepare returns to Ministries and other Government entities
Provide support to Councils / Enterprise, Joint Planning Hub and key stakeholders
Provide support on the enhanced grant audit framework
Assist and liaise with internal and external audits, and AGO audits.
Review processes to be in compliance with Government IMs and policies and A*STAR?s Financial Policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide support to projects (e.g. automation and digitalisation projects, new ERP system).
Other tasks e.g. Accounts Payable duties like vendor management.
Job Requirements
Degree in Accountancy / ACCA At least 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience in managing a small team of finance staff Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills High learning agility and adaptability Able to multi-task and deliver results under tight timelines Meticulous, organised and resourceful Proficient in MS Office applications Knowledge of SAP system and Tableau will be advantageous The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
