Job Responsibilities

The appointed AH/SO will serve as a business partner to provide the following financial services to the A*STAR Research Entities (ARES) within a Shared Services operating environment.

• Oversee all financial aspects of the reporting entity (RIs) that is/are assigned Financial aspects include budgeting and planning, financial and management reporting, tax reporting and financial analysis of the RIs
• Responsible for client facing with the RIs and provide financial insights/advice to achieve business objectives
• Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are in compliance with A*STAR Financial Policy and Procedures (FPP)
• Addressing ad-hoc queries by the RIs
• Prepare Audit Committee (AC) presentation slides and conduct the presentation during AC meeting.
• Liaise with other finance colleagues on closing of month-end / yearend accounts, statutory audit and annual tax filings
• Focus on continuous improvement and leverage new or enhance existing efficiency tools. In this regard, may be involved in digitalisation projects if required
• Provide support to projects
• Ad hoc tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

• Possess at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, as well as financial operations and reporting
• Knowledge of SAP system will be advantageous
• Involvement in system automation projects will be advantageous
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
• Able to multi-task and deliver results under tight timelines
