1) Determining the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspect of the company.
2) Perform validation of results & report issuance (for signatory)
3) Perform purchasing & inventory management
4) Perform SOP review & write-up, audit handling & CAPA review
5) Plan method studies and tasks, when necessary, updating of test methods and working instructions.
6) Plan & execute PT testing
7) Lead by example
8) Advocate for EHS, Integrity, Compliance and Ethics
9) Control, planning and management of team & laboratory operations
10) Evaluate staff performance
11) Assist/contribute in improvement & PIP plans & execution
12) Identifying and developing new areas of work and the corresponding test equipment required.
13) Highlighting unusual results and referring them for further investigation.
14) The interpretation of standards in accordance with operating manual.
15) Supervising all work related to the section(s).
16) Training and supervising all staff in the section(s).
17) To conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation.
18) Performing report issuance (for signatory), purchasing & inventory management, SOP review
19) Ensuring that all equipment in the section(s) are calibrated in compliance to schedule.
20) Ensuring that the requirements of SAC-SINGLAS in the field of bunker oil testing are met
21) Oversight of all the testing in their respective laboratories
22) Checking and signing of all appropriate reports issued by the laboratory.
23) Discussing test results with customer as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Science, or equivalent with 8 years related laboratory experience.
• Experienced with method-related tasks.
• Possesses SAC Singlas signatory experience.
• Minimum 2 years of team management/leadership skills
• Experienced in audit & CAPA management skills.
• Interacts with operational personnel, scientific personnel, and department management.
