This role is essential for the effective management and optimisation of various aspects related to anatomy education and medical training at the university. By overseeing the operational management of anatomy teaching spaces, equipment, and digital resources, as well as implementing educational reforms like cadaveric dissection, the position contributes directly to enhancing the quality of medical education as the cohort number increases.
Responsibilities:
Management and upkeep of Anatomy Learning Centre and Anatomy Resource Centre
Maintenance of anatomy specimens, Anatomage table, clinical equipment and digital resources
Coordinate with NTU and external organisations for rental of equipment and facility
Implementation of cadaveric dissection in Years 3 and 4 Anatomy
Plan and set up anatomy practical and clinical skills sessions
Planning of annual budget for equipment and consumables
Coaching of students in Science Practicals in Years 1 and 2
Organise student OSCE practice sessions for Year 3 and 4 clinical skills
Facilitation and tracking of loans and deposits for clinical postings and overseas community projects
Requirements:
A degree in Biological Science or equivalent
At least two years in a biology research lab or three years in a biology lab in higher education.
Managerial experience of facility and staff.
Experience in media design and teaching would be advantageous
Tech-savvy with strong time management skills
Passion for learning and education
This is a 3 years contract appointment.
