Our client, a reinsurance firm, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Finance department. The role of the Finance Manager is to provide and maintain accurate financial data in accordance with the Company\'s and statutory accounting policies. The role reports to the Senior Manager, with Executives directly reporting to the Assistant Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
Malaysia operations
To assist Head of Finance in ensuring the financial reporting and finance operations of ACRM are running smoothly, including but not restricting to the following activities;
1.) Responsible for the preparation of management account (Internal) and yearly Financial Reporting Pack (ACRG) in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirement
2.) Co-ordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing activities within the department and inter-department including ongoing improvement on processes and key control areas
3.) Review of bank reconciliation to ensure no item more 1 months, debtor revaluation and creditor revaluation on the reasonableness, investment accounting reconciliation to ensure that completeness, payment to ensure withholding tax compliance
4.) To ensure that the journal raised by support staff with right accounting entries and in accordance with accounting standard
5.) Control the revaluation function in the SUN system \xe2\x80\x93 bank, debtor, creditor, time deposit and etc
6.) Manage the treasury function \xe2\x80\x93 ensure sufficient fund in bank for payment, including placement with banker
7.) Compute the yearly tax computation (local gaap) / CP204 includes liaison with tax agent
8.) Responsible for timely submission of the following reports:
