Job Description


What the role is:Assistant Manager (Finance)What you will be working on:

  • Assist to manage student finance related operations including month end account closing, billing related functions \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders on financial operation including: o Prepare and provide financial reports o Collaborate in projects related to areas of budgeting, cost recoveries and preparation of profit & loss statements o Liaise and work closely with auditors \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with system support on system related matters and perform user acceptance testings \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance to policies and procedures for student finance operations \xe2\x80\xa2 Review existing Financial Policies and Procedures and propose updates when appropriate \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out other administrative tasks, duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned
What we are looking for:JOB REQUIREMENTS \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 5 years\' working experience in accounting services \xe2\x80\xa2 Past experience in educational sector (polytechnics and local universities) preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Possesses good communication skills (written and spoken) \xe2\x80\xa2 Driven, motivated and inquisitive \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical and time management skills with problem-solving ability \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work collaboratively with the users and lead team members in meeting deadlineAbout Temasek Polytechnic:Established in 1990, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) is a leading institution of high learning nestled by the idyllic shores of Bedok Reservoir in Tampines.
