Assistant Manager

Centre of Excellence for Learning, Leadership Development & Scholarship

As part of functional integration, NUHS Human Resource Office has formed Centres of Excellence (CoE) at the cluster level to oversee the policy and direction for key HR functions for the NUHS Cluster. We are looking to fill key positions in the COEs.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Assistant Manager in the CoE, you will be the L&D business partner and manage all aspects of the learning and development needs for Corporate Office.

In addition, you will manage group level sponsorships under Ministry of Health such as Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) and In-service Scholarship (MOH-ISS/SNDP). You will work closely with institutions\' business partners in planning and develop the professional capabilities of healthcare professionals to meet future workforce demands.

You will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Support DD in the drive and execution of NUHS harmonised learning and development processes for Corporate Office
  • Partner departments to address their training needs, co-develop training plans and budget requirements and report on training dashboard
  • Ensure learning effectiveness of training programmes and propose recommendations for any improvement.
  • Collaborate with MOHH and act as the key liaison for a concerted plan and implementation approach across Institutions for HMDP & MOH-ISS
  • Partner with institutions\' L&D representatives on their nominations of In-service MOH Scholarships & Sponsorships
  • Ensure harmonised NUHS application processes and implementation of policies/guidelines across NUHS institutions.
  • Organise review sessions with Physician-in-Chief and Group Directors on the nominations submitted by institutions for Group\'s priorities.
  • Ensure that claims are duly submitted so that MOH funding is tapped at optimum level
  • Prepare, consolidate and generate cluster\'s quarterly training outcome reports to MOH
  • Be part of the taskforce to organise NUHS Learning Award Ceremony
  • Be part of the secretariat to support the NUHS L&D taskforce and new initiatives.
Job Requirements:

- A good degree in HR or Business Administration or equivalent

- At least 3 years of relevant L&D or HRD experience

- Good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent project management skills

- Healthcare knowledge is an added advantage
