Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operation performance and meeting KPIs of the department.
  • Handle all safety and security related issues for Maintenance. Provide prompt reporting of Industrial and Vehicular accidents.
  • Review and plan operating and Capex expenses/requirements of the department.
  • Responsible for budgetary controls for the department.
  • Monitor payment to various authorities and external contractors.
  • Work with other departments of the company to ensure smooth, efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Review, update and refine operating procedures, guide/manual with close consultation with SMM, Operations staff
  • Handles the ISO certification, documentation and audit for Maintenance;
  • Collates and analyses performance statistics/reports and work out operations to identify root causes of poor performance (e.g. flight delays) so that preventive/corrective actions can be taken;
  • Develop and implement Learning and Development plans for all sections.
  • Identify and train/develop staff with good potential to manage the operations
  • Administers the staff annual appraisal and regular assessments
  • Promotion recommendation.
  • Manage disciplinary issues and conduct disciplinary inquiries.
  • Attends to staff welfare matters such as recruitment, terminations, loans, change of duties, transportation, annual and medical leaves;
  • Undertakes projects as assigned by Assistant Vice President (Maintenance & Training).

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree Holder
  • Experience in the aviation industry would be an advantage
  • Resilient, resourceful, creative and collaborative traits, and good interpersonal skills are required for this position
  • Possess good organizing, problem solving and supervisory skills and abilities
  • Evaluate training effectiveness to maximize its impact on operations
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Meticulous in his/her work output
